Golden Buddhas, war memorials and buddhist temples.

Moving towards the southern part of the town, visitors of Ulaanbaatar will be rewarded by several interesting sites. First one is the Palace of the Bogd Khan, a Chinese style complex once residence of Mongolian emperor and hosting several Buddhist temples. The second one is a modern golden statue of Buddha. Last but not least there is the symbol of friendship between Mongols and Russians: the Zaisan Memorial.

I’ve visited Ulaanbaatar during my trip around the world. Here below you can find the articles I wrote to describe the town.
