The heart of the town.

The most beautiful place in Ulaanbaatar is surely the Gandantegchinlen Monastery, located in the western part of the town. It is not just a place for tourists. Locals like to come here and stroll between the temples. The most impressive item is the golden statue of Avalokiteśvara, allegedly the world tallest indoor statue being 27 meters high.
