A nice excursion from Tobolsk’.
Abalak is a village not far from Tobolsk’. It can be reached by car or by local bus in about 30-40 minutes. There are basically two attractions in Abalak. The nicest is the wonderful Znamensky monastery, with its white churches with golden domes. Once you have finished with the convent, you can move to the nearby Abalak tourist complex, a nice theme park with games, restaurants and wooden statues.
